Eden’s Nightmare – The Conclusion

I’ve been spending some time writing a rather naughty story over on Literotica, concerning the vampire Eden. She gets into a very difficult situation. Bondage, whips, a priest who is also a werewolf, a pink vibrator…

The first three parts can be found in my Literotica profile here.

Sometimes I write stories out of sequence as I did this time. There is still a fourth part yet to be written, but if you’re the kind of reader who likes to skip to the end sometimes, here is the conclusion of that story.

Enjoy the peek behind the curtain.

——-

“Gideon 2 Bravo, I have eyes on target.” A male voice said through the ear piece Eden wore. “The limo and I see two additional vehicles.”

There was a pause.

“Probably her security detail, one’s running fore, the other is trail.” A second pause. “They’re black SUVs.” There was a soft chuckle. “How cliché.”

Eden’s right hand clenched, the lack of the pistol she would normally be holding in a situation like this was a definite bother. She was antsy like a disturbed cat at the lack. No weapons for her tonight Gunther had told her and she had finally agreed. The big priest standing next to her in the dark had established with no uncertain terms that he expected her to abide by his word when he gave an order.

Established with whip and pain…

And also with pleasure. Eden smiled at the memories of that first night, though most of her muscles had complained the next morning.

Definitely with pleasure!

“Gideon 6 Alpha, we’ve initiated a domestic disturbance call six blocks west at Main and 33rd.” Another voice informed, assigned to listen in on the police bands tonight. “Local roving unit being dispatched. The other unit assigned to this area is tied up with a traffic accident so we’re green to go.”

She wore night vision goggles like everyone else on the roof. Both Gunther and she though had them pushed up onto their foreheads. They had better night vision than the rest because of what they were. In pitch black even they would be limited, hence the goggles for them as well. The streetlights provide more than enough light to see clearly at the moment for even the humans on the team.

There were contingencies to blacken the street if needed. There were contingencies for a lot of things tonight.

Eden was standing on a three story warehouse roof across from the street from the front of a nightclub called “Xanadu West”. It was San Francisco’s hot new “In” place where all the rich popular crowd came to party and be seen. It was a spinoff of a club back East, with major non-vampire backing. Not the kind of place Eden would normally visit but then she’d never been among of the “In Crowd”.

Tonight that crowd would include Lilith Renauldi, so Eden’s contact had told her.

Not for the first time in many nights, did Eden wonder if she was wrong in pursuing this course of action but then she’d been wrong before and lived with the consequences. Still, no one in her line of business could let what had happen to her, go unanswered.

“Gideon 2 Bravo,” the spotter radioed. “Looks like the security detail has peeled off to Parking and let the limo get in line.”

“Gideon Actual,” Gunther ordered. “We’ll go with One-B unless something major changes.”

One-B anticipated the security detail in the parking lot rather than simply pulling over to the side of the street to wait. It was a wrinkle but not one that would matter. The limo carrying Lilith and her friends slowed.

Like any hot spot, it was important the Rich and Famous make their “Entrance”.

In this case for Lilith and her Posse, that meant a limo exit in front of the door. Trouble was there were three limos in front of her Party at the moment and they would have to wait or get out early. Early meant the cameras would be pointed elsewhere. Worse than death for such as Lilith and her crowd. That meant they would wait.

Not that the Plan would let them!

The two follow-on SUVs were having trouble finding parking places. They went around several times, seeking a place to park while the limo slid into the line.

What a turn of events the last three weeks had brought.

Eden had always been small time in the overall scheme of things here in San Francisco, yet at the moment she had the force of the entire Catholic Church standing ready and eager to do her bidding. She shuddered at what that amount of power meant. She could drastically change the power structure of the Council and the Houses with just a few words. All because of a small, simple debt, one the big priest standing beside her felt he owed.

It was nice to have friends in high places, Eden thought, but what would be the final cost?

Even now she had a hard time remembering many of the details. The Night itself. The Scourging. The Pain and the Pleasure. The Police.

The Blood…

All she could remember with clarity was Gunther’s voice, shattering the chaos.

“Don’t!” he’d pleaded. “Eden, please stop!”

That deep voice had stayed her from a great personal evil and she was thankful for it.

Eden was used to dishing out whatever small measure of Justice she could affect with her own hand. Something she was still inclined to do but a certain young blond rich débutante had decided her revenge was more important than what the Council had ordered. Lilith had gone around Eden’s punishment, intent on finishing it once and for all between them.

That was a mistake about to seriously haunt her.

Eden and Gunther had been hidden these past weeks as many things worked themselves out. The word on the Street was she was dead and Lilith’s plan had succeeded.

She’d avoided politics like the Plague yet the level of ministrations which had come down as a result of Lilith’s interference was staggering. Eden had thought she had an idea of the way the World worked, yet it had been turned upside down by all that had happened.

She had once felt small in the gears of the “What Truly Went Down”, but no longer.

——

“The mission is a simple snatch and grab,” Gunther had told the assembly eight hours earlier. “Though be warned the security on the target will be first rate.”

Warriors, seated and watching him speak.

Warriors of God.

Quite few of them had given her the seriously sideward glance then, clearly realizing what she was. Vampire and therefore, the Enemy. She could sense the disgust at her condition radiating from many of them. They would just as soon put a stake in her as look at her, yet Gunther held them in check as firmly as he’d put the collar to her once. Eden just tried to look quiet and unassuming, in her corner of the briefing room.

She still could not believe it. The Church ready to back her play at revenge.

“This seems…” One older warrior stated, after the plan had been laid out. “Unwise.”

He stood. Priest as well as warrior, that was clear to Eden’s eyes, even though he wore tactical black like all the rest. He had that Fire and Brimstone look, which she had become so familiar with recently.

“Taking this target will invite reprisals and escalations.” He looked Gunther square on. “We could be looking at all out War.”

Gunther shrugged.

“That would be a War,” he said. “They would most certainly lose.”

“But it will not come to that. They are divided and the Church is One.” He paused for a moment then continued. “Understand something, those of you not familiar with dealing with these Nightwalkers. There is peace between the Church and the Houses because WE have established limits on what they are allowed to do and do not do. Not the other way around…”

Gunther paused again, looking over the group before him.

“They have held to those limits in all but a few cases, not because of any good and mellow nature, but because when they have stepped over the line, we have Smoted them back with Righteous Force.”

He set the small pointer he had been holding down on the lectern.

“They Fear us, and while we cannot yet wipe the Earth of their plague, we WILL one day.” Gunther said firmly. “This vampire thinks herself above those limits. We’re going to teach her the folly of that assumptions.”

There were murmurs of approval to that and several glances her way. Not for the first time, did Eden wonder at what she had unleashed. And wondered too at the man who had occasionally, these past three weeks shared her bed.

“And we will show the rest of these creatures what awaits them should they too test our patience.” Gunther smiled with hard purpose. “I have the authorization of the Fisherman of the Lord to do whatever needs to be done to resolve this situation.”

There was a stir through the group at that statement. Gunther’s words meant the Pope himself had approved these actions. Backs straightened, eyes got sharp.

Warriors of God indeed.

—–

“Gideon 4, Gideon 5,” Gunther radioed. “Gideon Actual…”

He waited just a few mores seconds then simply said.

“Now!”

—–

The night’s festivities opened with four RPG round arcing in on the security vehicles. Two from the left, two from the right, off of the roof tops on either side of the parking lot.

Old school but still effective!

Lucky for the vampires inside those vehicles, the rockets were aimed at the front and rear wheels. The missiles destroyed the axles at either end of the SUVs but spared the occupants major injury, though not disorientation. The two autos lurched upward then dropped heavily to the ground.

Eden knew there were follow on missiles ordered if the security elements tried to exit.

The collateral damage was high, windshields on dozens of cars shattering at the shrapnel. Gunther had at first been of a mind to shrug that off but Eden had argued with him for a long time, convincing him that the Church had to make restitution.

Only someone who has been poor can understand what it’s like when Fate takes what little you have from you. That the damage being done tonight was to further her revenge, well then as one who had been poor, Eden had argued quite strenuously over making good the damages.

Plus interest, she had insisted.

In the end the priest had agreed. Peasant stock he’d been born and if you pressed, he remembered it. Though the Church would probably do it through some dummy corporation, blaming gas leak or some such natural cause.

Eden had fucked him until dawn that night. Of course only ‘after’ he had agreed.

Gunther’s first team to take her down had numbered 4. The one he lead tonight numbered over 40. The Church had stripped the entire West Coast of operatives for this mission. Eden didn’t know whether to be proud of the effort or scared. She’d always tried to stay out of House politics yet now she was in the utter thick of things.

What she did tonight would reverberate for years to come.

—–

Eden had met the lone survivor of Gunther’s earlier team last night at the briefing.

His name was David and he had been the young priest who had fired the net gun her way. His shoulder had been dislocated by her first bullet. The unlucky shot had hit him in the chest but ricocheted upward to catch him at the edge of his body armor. It had had enough force left to do damage. Then the flash grenade had knocked him off his feet. Human and not capable of a quick heal he’d gone down and stayed down.

He had still been able to drive with his injury, so he’d been sent back by himself after her capture to get medical attention at the Archdiocese. That had saved David when the assassins Lilith had hired, hit their perimeter and killed his fellows to let the unaware police officers in. Gunther’s team hadn’t expected trouble since the Scourging had Council approval so their lapse was understandable. They had been expecting casual discovery, not a coordinated attack.

Eden could see the pain that lurked behind his eyes when they had talked. He’d lost friends that night and part of him clearly thought it was because of her. They’d had light banter at Eden’s use of the flash stun grenade to try and get away. He’d half heartedly pointed out a few ways to counter it. She’d offered a counter or two to his counters. Almost friendly. Still there was a wall between them, one not likely to drop.

She was vampire and Damned!

That Eden and his commander were intimately involved at the moment had to hurt.

The young priest was guarding the stairway behind the command team, one arm no longer in a sling. The grip he had on his MP5 was firm and steady but Eden could tell he still had pain and stiffness. Not many leaders would have let an injured member join in the follow up attack. Not many would understand why that soldier needed to.

Eden smiled to herself, at how well Gunther understood so many simple things. The demon inside of Eden smiled because he understood violence and sex so well too!

There were two four man teams assigned to the limo, one from the left, one right. When the rockets hit the security teams’ vehicles, they ran from the shadows where they had been waiting and assaulted the limo.

Each team had a member carrying P90s tasked with disabling the vehicle. The fifty 5.7 mm rounds hammered the hood and front tires on each side, shredding the engine and any chance of the limo getting away. Especially considering Eden knew they were using titanium cored ammo. They came at the limo from the rear at slight angles, making sure neither team was in the line of fire.

There was a sight woof and the hood jumped. One of the rounds must have hit a fuel line and caused a minor explosion. The two quickly reloaded and then aimed for the driver side windshield, red laser dots criss crossing across the glass. If he moved from behind the wheel, they would shred him as well. The plan was to keep loss of life to a minimum but only if it didn’t endanger their own people.

Eden couldn’t see them but she knew there were three snipers on the rooftops nearby and she knew that one was tasked with helping kill the driver if he tried anything. The other two were on the security detail.

Wisely the driver held his hands high and visible empty.

One man on each team was carrying a breaching ram, a heavy tool that police used to take down doors. One hit the window of the passenger compartment door and the glass exploded. Then he knocked out the windows as well. The man on the other team did the same to the windows on his side, opening the inside to view.

The rest of the team members were carrying shotguns. When one of Lilith’s party sprang from the back seat and into the street, he was hammered down by several shots of wood-cored 12 gauge rounds. He wasn’t dead and he definitely wasn’t going to interfere further.

The rest of Lilith’s companions wisely chose not to fight back, seeing all the firepower ready to be used on them if they did.

The door to the limo was pulled sharply open then and several of the team climbed in. It took them just a few seconds to emerge, dragging the young Renaudli from her limo. Lilith screamed and screamed bloody murder until they got a ball gag in her mouth and blessed shackles around her arms. One of the team held a small device to her neck injecting her with a sedative, knocking the fight out of her quickly.

Three unmarked vans screamed up then. Lilith was hustled into the middle one, and the assault teams boarded the others.

There was a third team of four which had cut across between the limo and the crowd at the start of the assault. They pointed their weapons, two P90s and two drum feed shotguns at the frightened people, in clear warning to any who might think of interfering.

The nightgoers and staff choose the better half of valor and crouched there, uninterested in involving themselves. Heads down, looking anywhere but at what was going on in the street. Once the third team was covered by the assault teams from the open van doors, that team turned and boarded as well.

It took mere moments before the Church teams and their objective was away.

Eden’s stopwatch read 73 second…

—–

This time Gunther had chosen an abandoned warehouse, rather than Eden’s basement to undertake his work. The set up was still quite familiar though. Tall poles about three feet apart, bolted to the ground and ceiling. Cross beam and a handle to raise it. All thick solid steel.

Eden gave a little shudder of remembrance.

Lilith hung from the upper cross beam by her shackled wrists. Her legs were shackled to the base of each pole. As Eden had been.

There were several bright lights set up which now illuminated the area very well. Head down, her curly mane of long hair obscured her face, Lilith wore a sexy little blue clubbing outfit that probably cost a couple of thousand by its look. Though she’d lost her shoes somewhere in the kidnapping.

She had been wearing a light coat when she’d been pulled from the back of the limo. That was now hanging on a nail on the wall behind her. The warehouse was chilly and Eden was glad for the leather jacket she wore. Of course, the chill would be the least of Lilith’s discomforts tonight.

There hadn’t been a study chair available so Gunther had just strapped the young Renaudli into place without the tease he’d used on Eden at the start. They had drugged her into unconsciousness at the capture, so Lilith was at the moment unaware of her plight. That would soon change.

They were timed narcotics and should be wearing off in the next few minutes. Plus Gunther had injected her with several other drugs about fifteen minutes ago, one of them a stimulant. The other two he’d admitted were designed to heighten the experience of the Scourging. Heighten the sensations.

When Eden had asked if she too had been injected, Gunther just smiled.

Eden’s watch read just after 1 am.

“Do you still want to go through with this?” he asked her then, having come up behind her silently as he was wont to do sometimes.

Eden understood the big priest’s offer. At the moment it was still just a matter between Lilith and the Church over the dead members of his team. If Lilith saw Eden here, then things would definitely change. No matter what was officially said, Lilith would forever blame Eden for what was about to happen.

That was the question, wasn’t it?

Gunther would not be here to protect her back much longer, he’d made that clear. Could Eden handle this herself once he had gone? She could easily excuse herself and with luck things would go back to the way they had been here in town. The actions tonight had yet to kill anyone but they still sent a powerful message, one that the Houses and the Council would have their hands full dealing with for many years.

No one would have time for one minor feral.

Though the Scourging would hang over Eden like black cloud. That the Council had disciplined her could be still be handled and might even give her name a boost but Lilith’s part in causing that punishment would cause Eden no end of problems in a business that relied heavily on reputations. She had to go through with this if she expected to remain an private investigator. If word reached the Street that House Renauldi could successfully pressure her, then she might as well quit and move to another city.

So it meant her Life and Livelihood to go through with it. Still Eden hesitated.

“Oh hell, woman!” Gunther laughed after a minute of silence. “In all my three hundred years…”

He just shook his head, smiling.

The big priest stepped up against her and his big warm solid body made hers vibrate. He’d fucked her silly the night before and she’d willingly spread her legs now if he asked. Hell, she’d even let Lilith watch. Show the bitch what a real man could do.

Gunther leaned down and kissed her on the forehead softly. Then stepping back, he slapped her hard!

The demon inside of Eden growled. Fangs dropped from the roof of her mouth and she stepped back a step herself, ready to rip his throat out and drink his blood.

Gunther laughed.

“Buck up woman!” he ordered.

He turned his back on the danger of Eden’s demon, secure in the knowledge of his dominance, staring at the image of Lilith in the monitors. There had been a Vatican tech team in earlier and they had wired the whole place up. There were three monitors on the table and three cameras aimed at the center of the room ready. Gunther might have had objections to recording Eden’s Scourging. He had no such reservations about tonight’s work.

They had offered to leave someone to manage the gear but he had ordered them out to join the men guarding the warehouse. The earlier 40 men of the special teams had been supplemented by another 80 man private security force trucked in from out of town so as not to raise suspicions locally, who now forming a second perimeter further out. It would take an Army to get in here.

“That!” Gunther pointed. “Needs some humility beaten in it.”

He chuckled, Eden almost swore with evil anticipation. Her fangs slowly retracted.

“If you won’t,” he said firmly. “I’m going to!”

—–

Lilith woke slowly.

Eden sat on an old two drawer filing cabinet, missing both drawers, dragged in from the empty office up front. A shitty place to sit, still it gave a sense of space and reference. And that was important. Eden thought back to her own captivity and the way Gunther had played her emotions and desires. She had been a fine violin and the big handsome priest had played her like the Master he was. She was looking forward to him applying those skills to the bound blond hanging before her.

In the mean time, it was up to Eden to explain things. She owed Lilith that.

Enemy to enemy.

As much of a bitch the young Renaudli was, her character was really a by-product of her Family. That they let one of their own get this way, spoke poorly of the leaders of that House. Eden remembered her father. Remembered her mother. They would have never allowed her to become the egotistical shrew Lilith had become, even if they had been rich.

Lilith shook her head a couple of times to clear the cobwebs and then slowly raised it.

The ugly scars had almost disappeared, though if you looked hard under the heavy makeup, you could still see where they had been. Vampires gained the ability to see much lower in the Infrared and scars like that tended to leave a distinctive pattern in that wavelength. It painted Lilith’s face like it had been roughly tattooed.

Some vampires did just that to identify their Clan and their Allegiance, though they were almost always low class fringe. No self respecting House vampire would do that. Lilith would be reminded of Eden’s existence every time she looked in a mirror. Eden felt a tinge of satisfaction at that thought.

The whole silly reason for the conflict between the two women was because of Lilith’s sick juvenile love of tossing Holy Water balloons and Eden’s unlikely intervention with a 2 by 4.

Lilith and her Posse had been out looking for some casual fun that night and she had picked the wrong downtown Rave to splash a few Ferals just for kicks. Unfortunately for Lilith, Eden had been working a case which had also taken her to that same Rave and she had been alert when she had exited. She’d sensed the movement and intent but not the specifics and just reacted by picking up a handy piece of wood leaning against the alley wall.

The young Renauldi hadn’t been blinded but she had gotten a face full when Eden’s swing had exploded the balloon back at her. To make it worse, Eden’s blow had knocked Lilith out, and she had laid there for many minutes unconscious while the holy water had eaten into her skin.

Eden hadn’t recognized her, just reacted to the threat and Lilith’s companions had run away when Eden had drawn her gun. There was wood-cored ammo out there for those who knew who to buy from, and while it wouldn’t kill you, it stung like Hell.

Lilith had discovered that night what a bitch Karma can be.

“What the fuck is going on?” Lilith muttered, as she raised her head. “Don’t you people know who I…”

She was going to make a scene that was clear from her first words. Then she saw who was sitting in front of her.

“Good evening Lilith.” Eden said. “Nice to see you’re finally awake.”

“You fucking bitc…” Lilith growled.

Eden stood up, stepped close and slapped the young woman with all her strength.

“You’d be well advised to hold that tongue,” Eden stated. “Before it gets you into further trouble.”

She laughed softly as she sat back down.

“Then you’re just so totally fucking screwed…” Eden slowly shook her head. “I don’t think there’s much more you can do to make your situation any worse.”

Lilith just silently stared at her while a thin line of blood dripped slowly from the corner of her mouth, caused by Eden’s slap.

“Oh, I think things can get worse,” Gunther said, stepping from the shadows. “Much worse.”

He wore the black garb and white collar of a Catholic priest.

Lilith went white.

“I believe you two have meet at Council,” Eden said. “The good Father has a few things he wished to discuss with you…”

The young woman got even whiter.

“Fraulein Renauldi, you have been charged in Papal Court with the Murder of three priests of the Church.” Gunther took a couple of steps forward then stopped. “As Advocate for the Prosecution, I requested the maximum sentence.”

He folded his arms across his chest.

“Sentence of Death…”

Lilith looked frantically around the room for any way out.

There wasn’t one.

Damned, Eden thought to herself, Gunther put on a great bad guy act. The seconds dragged on as he just stood there looking at the young blond with a cold stare. Eden had seen a shark once up close and it had the same dead eyes as Gunther did right now. She shivered and something clicked.

As much as Eden and the big priest had shared these past three weeks, she realized then she’d only scratched the surface. Would she like what she found if she scratched further?

Just at the point where Lilith looked like she was going to give into panic, Gunther uncrossed his arms.

“Lucky for you,” he said softly. “The Advocate for the Defense had some persuasive arguments.”

Relief flushed across Lilith’s face, no doubt expecting her position and her Family would once more rescue her from her deeds.

“Yes, you see Lilith, I pointed out that while the fact that you had interfered in the Church’s actions…” Eden rubbed her hand across her butt through her new leather pants, as if remembering her spanking. “Interfered in my Scourging by sending those men, that the Church couldn’t prove you had ordered them to kill those priests.”

“You?” Lilith asked. “You defended me?”

Gunther had discussed technique with Eden a few days earlier and as much as the whole good cop / bad cop thing seemed cliché, he told her it worked. Nothing drives the knife in deeper than the feeling of hope before the deed.

“Hey, we vampires have to stick together.” Eden shrugged, smiling. “So they couldn’t punish without proof.”

Lilith smiled herself, probably thinking she was free and clear.

“Though…” Eden asked gently. “You did send those men?”

“Yes, but I never told them to kill anyone.” Lilith admitted, clearly relieved. “Just to see that the priest did the job right, you understand.”

“You mean the job of beating me?”

“Well, yes, but then you have to admit you deserved…”

Something about way Eden leaned forward, or something about the way her gaze changed, hardened up, got through that self-centeredness little bubble within which Lilith had lived her first eighteen years. She looked at Gunther, then at Eden, then back to Gunther. Realizing she had just admitted her guilt.

The silence stretched out into an eternity.

It wasn’t the admission that Eden would have liked. Lilith surely lied as to the purpose of those she’d sent. They had killed the priests on the perimeter so the cop who had come to investigate would be able to get in unstopped. And once in, that innocent would have died, killed by Eden’s hand or Gunther’s. Either would have suited Lilith’s plan. Cops go after those who kill other cops doggedly, without let up. The Council would have removed them both quickly, just to quiet things down.

Well, if it wasn’t the confession she had wanted, it was one Eden would take.

“Fraulein,” Gunther said, breaking the quiet.

“By your own admission freely given, I find you guilty as an accomplice to Homicide, negligent by your interference in the matter of Eden Sands and resulting in the deaths of three of my Order.”

Lilith slowly shook her head, clearly not believing what was happening.

“You are ordered Scourged.” Gunther proclaimed, stepping forward like the Archangel Michael himself. “Scourged until the first rays of Dawn and Heaven have mercy on your Soul.”

Lilith screamed!

—–

“I have a van ready to take you home.” Gunther said.

Eden was standing in a small office on the third floor of the warehouse. It had a big window and through it a view of the mountains to the East. Mountains currently tinted red with the first light of the coming Day. If she wanted to, Eden could stand here and watch the Sun rise, though the light would burn her terribly almost to Death.

The pain would not be penance enough for her part in what had happened this past night. If Eden had only truly understood what she was going to unleash, when she had pressed forward.

If only…

“You were going to do that to me?” she asked.

She felt him standing just behind her. Close enough that she could feel the inviting warmth of his body yet separated by a gasping chasm of loathing. She sensed his hand reached out to touch her shoulder but it withdrew before he did.

Long moments of silence then.

“Yes,” he finally said.

She heard him sigh.

“It’s what I do.”

Eden sighed herself and shivered.

And not from the cold.

Gunther stepped close and started to put his arms around her but Eden jerked away at the contact. She walked a few steps away to the corner and turned. His white shirt, with sleeves rolled up and collar open was stained here and there with blood. Eden could remember with perfect clarity each and every drop.

“It’s what I do,” he said again.

Gunther shook his head slowly, looking at her with weary eyes. The office had an old desk and he sat down on the edge.

“I told you once, that you can’t have the promise of Heaven without the retribution of Hell.”

He set a small box on the desk beside him.

“And I meant that. What I did tonight…” He paused, then continued. “What WE did tonight will keep many souls on the path of Righteousness.”

The device was a external hard drive and it contained a recording of Lilith’s Scourging. It was meant as leverage should Eden need it in the future.

Just like her earlier ordeal, the sentence on Lilith had been a Scourging in measures 5 to 1. Pain and Pleasure. Eden had argued for that in the beginning as a petty point of revenge and while the Church had a real fetish towards sex, she’d found a ready ally in the priest. Gunther had pointed out the usefulness of the combination given who they would be punishing.

And what. Vampire, a creature of Lust.

In the end the Church leadership had agreed and while Gunther had had a little less than 4 hours to work his magic, by the end Lilith had been SO very eager to please. Eden shuddered, remembering the way the young blond had finally begged to be of service.

Begged for the whip. Begged for the cock.

Put the recording up on the Internet and it would go viral around the World very quickly considering its content. Fetish stuff was always wildly popular. And considering its star, its popularity among the vampire community, doubly so. Eden now had the Damiclian sword to hang from a hair above House Renauldi’s head. They would have no choice but to leave her alone.

Then again, Lilith wouldn’t be bothering her. Not now. Probably not ever.

Just a broken little doll…

Eden had stay to the very end. Give me that, she silently begged of a God she no longer believed in. To the very end.

The first few hours had been increasingly bad and increasingly erotic but then in that last hour, Gunther had used tools on Lilith which still made Eden cringe when she remembered. Images floated in her mind that she would have a hard time scrubbing clean. There would be many, many sleepless nights ahead for her, Eden knew.

Penance.

She hoped there was a God up there because when she finally died, Eden meant to rip his fucking throat out. The Universe would be a better place for it if she did.

“Please leave,” she said.

The new morning Sun painted a thin sliver of golden light on the floor. Gunther sat there, looking back at her.

“Please,” Eden begged.

Something in her face got through to him then. The big priest stood, leaving the hard drive on the desk. He just looked at her for several long moments, as if they were the last they two would share then Gunther turned and walked out, leaving her alone.

The sliver of gold on the floor got bigger.

Eden reached up and began unbuttoned her blouse.

Penance should be done naked, she thought to herself, finally understanding the reason Gunther’s back was crisscrossed with self inflicted scars.

Could forgiveness be bought with pain?

She could only hope…
